The Iredell County Covid-19 Response Fund is accepting applications from organizations providing direct service to Iredell County citizens during this crisis.  The criteria below are intended to guide organizations in deciding whether or not to submit an application.  Due to the quickly evolving needs in our community through this disaster, the fund volunteers reserve the right to change these criteria without notice as community conditions dictate.

The Iredell County Covid-19 Response Fund anticipates funds will be awarded in phases over the next several months.  $106,000 in emergency stabilization grants were awarded during the weeks of 4/6 & 4/13 to increase the capacity of local organizations providing emergency food, healthcare and shelter services. $143,000 in additional basic need awards were disbursed on 4/27/20.

Services emphasized will include: food, maintaining housing, the safety of individuals inside the home, access to needed medical care and services and other types of emergency financial assistance.  The fund will also consider applications focused on recovery efforts such as helping families to regain employment or students to succeed as they return to school.  Applications for Phase 4 will be due by May 12th and should be emailed to Sara Lewis at

If your organization has already completed an application in a previous cycle, it will be considered in phase 4 automatically.  If you wish to change any of the information in your application, please contact Sara at the email above.

Individuals are not eligible to apply for these funds.  Organizations applying must have a demonstrated ability to deploy resources quickly, effectively, and to scale their efforts.  Organizations must also have the ability to track and report on utilization and outcome data and be service driven.

Applications for the next round of funding need to be emailed (along with the required attachments) to by May 12th.  Decisions are expected by May 21st.

If you have any questions, please email Sara at the email listed above.  Please do use the email to reach Sara as she is working remotely and telephone messages will take longer for her to receive.
